## What 5 kW costs

Installed quotes for a 5 kW on-grid system with tier-1 panels and a branded inverter typically range from Rs 550,000 to Rs 800,000 depending on city, mounting structure and brand. Hybrid systems with batteries cost considerably more.

## What it produces

At 4.5 peak sun hours (Lahore average) and 80% system efficiency, a 5 kW system yields about 540 units a month, enough to offset most of a 500-unit household's consumption.

## Payback
